Green-Eyed Monster

The green-eyed monster has no need for a mouth, all he needs is the work of others and his piecing eyes. The fantastic work of other artists weaken the confidence barrier, the eyes stab a piece of hopeless-uncertainty into the center of the artist's soul.

Admit it, we have all, at one point or another, fallen prey to the ever vigilant green-eyed monster. As harmless as he seems at times, he awaits the moment we underestimate his power to fix us with his emerald gaze.

Beware the green-eyed monster.

I used to get to that point when browsing deviantArt and other such art sites, but I've eventually come to terms with the green-eyed monster, pleading a blissful apathy...with various modes of success.

In other words, I'm fending him off with a baseball bat while trying to avert my gaze.
